DETAILS

A heritage bungalow reimagined with care, creativity and trust.

What began as a much-loved family home became a journey of renewal, transforming a classic heritage bungalow into a light-filled, contemporary sanctuary. With their architect based interstate, our clients placed complete trust in Buildscope to bring their vision to life, confident that every detail would be handled with care and precision.

From the start, collaboration was key. The curved brick wall and arch, along with the structural steelwork, required careful planning and execution. Each element was approached with meticulous attention to detail, taken from complex engineering concepts through to flawless on-site delivery, requiring teamwork and coordination between the builder, engineer and trades. Every curve, connection and joint was planned to ensure strength, symmetry and craftsmanship.

The Daniel Robertson Hawthorn Tan brick chimney and fireplace anchor the home with heritage texture and depth, while curved structural steel beams finished in Dulux Natural Grey, paired with 305 Longline cladding in Colorbond Surfmist wrapping the upper level, create a sculptural modern statement. At its centre, a Tasmanian Oak staircase framed in fluted glass connects both levels with quiet elegance, a feature that perfectly embodies the balance between craftsmanship and design intent.

At handover, the moment felt like a celebration. Seeing their new home for the first time, our clients were overwhelmed with joy, describing how it looked exactly like the design they had imagined. It was a shared moment of pride and gratitude, marking the end of an extraordinary journey built on trust, collaboration and care.
