In Adelaide’s East End, our clients envisioned a home that felt grounded in nature yet refined in detail, a serene balance of earth, timber and water.
Set on a narrow inner-city site with limited access to the rear, the build demanded careful planning, creativity and collaboration. Together with our clients, every detail was approached as a shared craft, from individually positioning each timber batten on the gables to refining the hoop-pine wall detailing that flows up the staircase. It was a true team effort, combining precision with artistry to honour the architectural vision.
The heart of the home unfolds through the living and kitchen spaces, where blackbutt herringbone flooring guides the eye beneath a curved feature ceiling that mirrors the soft angles of the Titanium Blue polished slab benchtop. Rammed-earth walls extend through the hallway to the fireplace, creating continuity and warmth, a tactile reminder of the home’s connection to the natural landscape.
